When people ask me how I got into this line of business, with hesitation I tell them why. Growing up in the big city of dreams, New York City, I was always intrigued by the lifestyles of the rich and famous. So willingly, I admit that it was my personal interest in the lives and persona of these people an the "Concrete Jungle, Where Dreams Are Made" that lit a passion in me for capturing their lives, on camera, on video and even from time to time if its someone that I truly idolize, I put my camera down and ask for the "photo with". It's those times that I choose love over money. I've gotten in the mindset that if I can't be them, I'll join them and so I do, each and every day I follow the lives of real true celebrities.
There are the very famous people such as Madonna, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, and Drew Barrymore, or the (not so famous anymore), Courtney Love, or Dustin Hoffman. I also run into plenty Politicians, those that's up and coming, or the staple ones that's been in Washington for like forever. Whoever and whichever the day, my blog will keep you informed, entertained and definitely up to the minute on who's who in Washington D.C. My motto is, If you come to D.C. and I'm not interested in you, then that means your publicist isn't doing a good job of making you famous.
I will take you to the streets through video as well as thoughts on how I prepare myself on a daily basis to get out there and capture great video and photos. You'll get to see how hard the preparation truly is or how lucky I sometimes get. Most of all you will get to see snippets of the lifestyle of the people that are most intriguing to you. I'll try my best to bring you into the hectic and exciting paparazzi world. I'll even teach you the tricks of the trade and the best kept secrets into how we get paid. You'll get a chance to see what I do with videos once I have them, or how I decide on good bankable photos. Even more interesting, how much money Paps actually make.
I'll take you into the lives of Celebrities & Politicians from a real perspective, not the phony stuff you see once it's been edited for T.V. or what their publicist allow to be seen. My funny questions and light hearted approach bring out the realist of the toughest most ultra egotistical celebrity. You'll find out who is genuinely nice to their fans, or get surprised by who's an anal retentive in real life.
You will hear me referred to as 'The number one paparazzi on the east coast.' This is because I have mentored a few folks that are doing just what I do and making an honest living doing what they enjoy. I'm not boasting either, but there are not many guys who can be a producer, a reporter, a mentor and still be a bonafide paparazzi on a regular basis. In our business that's called the triple threat, but to me it's just work.
So, I also proudly admit that my work has been featured by several note worthy news organizations, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, MSNBC, The Washington Post, and worked with The New York Post, TMZ, which I still have a great relationship with both, and for years been a big contributor to the biggest celebrity photo agency Splash News.
