The Art of Set Up Photos

Sometimes set up photos can be a blessing for both a paparazzo and also the celebrity as it usually eases the tension on both ends.

This only occurs when a Celebrity does not want to be bothered and usually their bodyguard will come up and say, “hey we’ll give you a few photos, just stay your distance, then leave us alone.”  Now it’s up to me on whether I want to go for that deal or not.  With me, I usually will be like O.K. just as long as it’s a pretty set of photos and the Celebrity is willing to do what I ask them to do in the photo, whether it’s holding hands or pretend like their shopping or smiling. Then there are times if your working with other paparazzi and they say flat out that they are not agreeing to it.  That only usually happens when it’s an a**hole Celebrity who’s usually nasty and now we got them in no man’s land so they are only giving up the photos because they have no choice.  Did I mention Scarlett Johansson, yeah that’s something she would do, and guess what, I wouldn’t agree to it with her either cause she is Soooooo Not Nice!

Here is a set up photo I took of Nicole Richie, it was actually a good photo that sold well because Nicole was pregnant at the time and not too many photographs were coming out of her being pregnant.  She would usually cover her face, or wouldn’t give up the two shot or her and husband Joel Madden.  Here the photos were taking in the Georgetown section of Washington D.C.  Honestly she didn’t want to give up the photo as you can tell by how excited she looks.
